Thanks to a stretch of unseasonably warm and dry weather, people in Northeast Michigan have been getting an early start in removing leaves and other debris from their yards.

Alpena Public Schools Board of Education received a first glimpse at what kindergarten will look like for the upcoming school year during its meeting Monday night.
