JOHNSTON, James E., 64, of Alpena died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at Northern Michigan Hospital.

Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. on Thursday at the Brietzke Funeral Home where there will be a VFW memorial service at 7 p.m., the Knights of Columbus will recite the rosary at 7:30 and the parish prayer service will be at 8 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home Friday at 12 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service at St. Ignatius Catholic Church.
